Christy joined Centaur Technology, Inc. when it was a start-up, progressing in her role over the years, building the human resources operations from the ground up, developing organizational structure and all policies, ensuring alignment with business objectives. She has led through multiple corporate changes with minimal business impact and maintained a 0-3% voluntary turnover rate in a highly competitive market year over year even through those changes. She achieved minimized impact to business during COVID-19, sustaining an 87% employee engagement rating while transitioning 95% of Centaur’s workforce to remote operations in 1 week’s time and leading through Centaur’s final acquisition by Intel.
Christy holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She also completed all of the work towards her Master of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Texas State University, but chose to continue her career in Human Resources rather than to pursue the internship. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR), the HR Generalist Certificate, and the Coaching for Improved Performance Certificate from the University of Texas. She is a member of SHRM and maintains a strong network of Human Resources leaders in the Austin high tech industry. She loves the outdoors and enjoys mountain biking and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
