John Gregg

John Gregg is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Truist Securities, the Corporate and Investment Banking division of Truist Financial Corporation. Gregg has 32 years of investment banking and capital markets experience and he and his family have lived in Atlanta since 2006. Prior to joining CIB in February 2006, Gregg spent 17 years at Bank of America, where he was instrumental in growing the loan syndications business.
He held a variety of leadership positions in origination and sales and trading during his career, including managing the bank’s European loan syndications business in London, England, for a number of years. Gregg earned a Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University in 1984 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in 1989. Gregg serves as a board member for the Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation, Junior Achievement of Georgia and the ABA Securities Association, and is a Director of the Buckhead Coalition. He previously served as a board member for the Grady Health Foundation and Trees Atlanta.
