Strategic HR Show

Thank you for being a guest on our podcast.

Information For Podcast Guests

Hi there, I’m looking forward to chatting with you on our podcast, The Strategic HR Show Please choose a time that suits you from my calendar here. A few things to note:
  1. Once you’ve chosen a time, I’ll add the Zoom call details.
  2. When we talk, please use headphones of any type to prevent audio feedback which can sometimes happen over Zoom calls. Even the headphones that come with a new mobile phone are better than nothing. If you have a special microphone – even better!
  3. We’ll talk on video but I tend to only use the audio so we can both relax and just talk. Sometimes, to ensure better sound, we turn off the video when we start. That said, if you’re ok with video, I may still use it as a video version of the podcast too but we’ll play that one by ear.
  4. When you dial into the Zoom call, we’ll have a chat before we start the podcast discussion. When we’re ready, we’ll start the interview itself.
  5. Each interview usually comes out 2-3 weeks later although we can be flexible.
  6. When we publish the interview, we’ll let you know via LinkedIn and/or email. If you’d like to plan for a coordinated release, let me know so I can give you the release date. If you need to hear the final version before we release it, just let me know, but we usually just clean up the audio and publish it as is.
  7. I’ve covered many topics on the podcast so I’m generally happy to discuss anything that relates to HR and people strategies for a business. As a general rule, I always aim to include tips or advice to help businesses become more successful in their people strategies.
  8. In case you’re confused about me and my whereabouts, I’m in Dallas Texas Central US Timezone.

Interview Questions

As for questions, I typically ask these main questions (or slight variations) –

  • Can you give listeners a quick snapshot of your background?

  • What’s your current role? Who/how do you support?

  • [XYZ HR topic] is a significant issue for many senior HR and business leaders. Before we dive into the details, what you do see as the big issues currently facing employers in this area?

  • It can be hard for business leaders to know where to start when trying to address [XYZ HR sub-topic]. What’s your advice on where to start?

  • What are some of the roadblocks you’ve seen appear for organizations that have been working on resolving their [XYZ HR topic] issues?

  • If you could give one specific piece of advice to listeners who want to fix [XYZ HR topic], what would that be?

  • What does the future hold for HR and the world of work and how should our listeners best prepare for it?

  • If people want to learn more about you and your organization, what should they do next?

Sound ok? I’m looking forward to our chat.

Many thanks!

All the best,
Andy Najjar
